Corporate Sustainability Scorecard
In November 2024, Carte Dozio renewed its EcoVadis assessment regarding corporate sustainability. The overall score achieved awarded Carte Dozio a Bronze Medal. Carte Dozio ranks within the top 35% of companies evaluated by EcoVadis, achieving the highest scores over the past 12 months.
Sustainability Certificate – Synesgy
In March 2024, Carte Dozio obtained a sustainability certificate with a B Score. The Synesgy platform evaluated the company across five areas of interest: business, environment, social, governance, and industry. The score achieved in each of these areas was then summarized in the ESG B score, in accordance with the international reporting standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
Registered Trademark CARTE DOZIO®
To protect its image and strengthen the company’s reputation, on July 16, 2021, Carte Dozio officially became a registered trademark in the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). This form of branding allows products to be uniquely identified, serves as a guarantee of quality, and represents a further step forward in the development of the company’s assets.
Safety and Quality for Our Products
Carte Dozio obtains certification according to the BRC Global Standard for Packaging Materials, GFSI-compliant and recognized internationally. The UNI EN 15593 certification obtained in 2011 is replaced by this global standard, designed for companies supplying food contact materials (FCM) to protect consumers through shared product safety and quality criteria.

Specialized and Customized Products
Equipped with new facilities for the processing of flexible materials, the company’s customization activities expand even further. Alongside solving issues related to industrial packaging, Carte Dozio broadens its client base, providing specialized products and assisting in the selection of corporate communication solutions.
Increasingly Qualified and Attentive
In line with the most in-demand skills, Carte Dozio holds three of the most widely recognized certifications in the packaging sector: UNI EN 15593 for hygiene management in the production of packaging intended for food contact, PEFC Chain of Custody (CoC) for sustainable forest management, and FSC® CoC for promoting responsible forest management. The company also focuses on the use of renewable energy by installing a photovoltaic system on its roof.
Galilei 19
A new warehouse for product storage is added next to the existing facility and offices at 19 Via Galilei. Part of the operations is delegated to an external logistics provider.
2009 Martina and Gilberto Dozio
Carte Dozio certifies its management system according to the ISO 9001 standard, demonstrating the efficiency and complexity of its organization. Gabriella decides to leave the business to pursue new projects, while Marco’s eldest children, Gilberto and Martina, join the company.
2000 Important Partnerships
By this time, Carte Dozio’s operations had been completely moved from Milan to Bresso. Even during the challenging years marked by the onset of the Great Economic Recession, the company continued to grow, mainly thanks to the strong, decades-long relationships with leading Italian and international companies in their respective product categories, able to offer customers excellent products and services.
1990 Bresso
The expansion of the converting activity and its commercial offerings continues at a steady pace. Gabriella, Adriano’s daughter, joins the company’s management, and during the same period Carte Dozio becomes the Italian distributor for the world’s leading manufacturers of certain specialized products for packaging, preservation, and protection.
1981 Marco Dozio
Adriano’s son, Marco, joins the company. The generational change leads to the introduction of new, innovative product types in the flexible packaging sector, focusing on market niches with higher technological content: long-fiber filter paper and anticorrosive products for metal preservation.
1971 The Birth of Carte Dozio Srl
Luigi Dozio passed away in 1965, and his son Adriano took over the ownership of the company. A warehouse was built at 15 Via Galilei in Bresso, in the province of Milan, and at the same time CARTE DOZIO SRL was established. The converting activity was further developed through the purchase of new machinery, and as a result the company increasingly focused on meeting product customization needs, supplying industrial clients with paper products made to specific requirements.
1961 Post-war Development
During the years of post-war recovery, the trading activity continues, alongside the beginning of paper converting with the purchase of the first rewinding machine and a paper cutter, installed in the new warehouse at 52 Via Lomazzo in Milan.
1945 Adriano Dozio
After World War II, the founder Luigi is joined in the company by his son Adriano. The business headquarters is then moved to Milan, to Via Monviso 23, where the offices remain until the late 1980s.
1937 The Beginnings – Luigi Dozio
The first records of the activities of Dozio Luigi & C. date back to the late 1930s. The company, which deals in the trade of paper and twine, is based in Merate, in the province of Lecco, and has a warehouse and an office located on Corso Garibaldi in Merate.
